BAKTI Ministry of Communication and Information Accelerates Digital Transformation
The Ministry of Communication and Information's agency, BAKTI, is expediting the development and optimization of telecommunications and information infrastructure to support national digital transformation. This includes the construction of Base Transceiver Stations (BTS), the Palapa Ring fiber optic network, and the operation of the SATRIA-1 satellite. The Minister of Communication and Information, Budi Arie Setiadi, emphasizes the importance of speed and benefits in achieving successful digital transformation for improved governance. Transformation plays a crucial role in government administration reform, and Budi Arie encourages continuous efforts in this regard. He highlights the significance of performance enhancement and organizational health through bureaucratic changes to increase the chances of success in public sector transformation. The Minister stresses the importance of tangible benefits felt by the public rather than just focusing on bureaucratic indices. Budi Arie outlines four essential elements that public sector organizations need to promote for successful transformation: measurable aspirational goals, open input initiatives, effective execution and evaluation mechanisms, and competent transformation teams. The implementation of bureaucratic reform within the Ministry of Communication and Information is expected to be agile, swift, and reliable, addressing existing issues and improving the Bureaucratic Reform Index.
