"Xiaomi Redmi 13R 5G: Rebranded Version of Redmi 13C, Launched in China"
Xiaomi has quietly released its latest smartphone, the Redmi 13R 5G, in the Chinese market. The device appears to be a rebranded version of the Redmi 13C 5G, which was recently launched in India. The main differences between the two models are the design of the back panel and the available RAM and storage options.
The Redmi 13R 5G features a rectangular black module on the back, extending to the top left and right corners, while the Redmi 13C 5G does not have this black module. However, both phones have identical camera and LED flash placements. In terms of RAM and storage, the Redmi 13R 5G is only available in one variant: 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. In contrast, the Redmi 13C 5G offers options of 4 GB/128 GB, 6 GB/128 GB, and 8 GB/256 GB.
Aside from these design and memory differences, the Redmi 13R 5G shares the same specifications as the Redmi 13C 5G. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus chipset and features an IPS LCD display with HD Plus resolution (1600 x 720 pixels), a 90 Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass protection. The front camera is a 5 MP selfie camera housed in a waterdrop notch, supporting features like Portrait Mode and 1080p video recording at 30 fps.
On the back, the Redmi 13R 5G is equipped with a 50 MP main camera supported by an AI system, offering features such as Time Lapse, Night Scene, and 1080p video recording at 30 fps. The device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6100 Plus SoC, an octa-core chipset with two Cortex-A76 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores, with a maximum clock speed of 2.2 GHz. It also has Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, 4 GB LPDDR4X RAM, and 128 GB UFS 2.2 storage, expandable up to 1 TB via microSD card.
