Rockstar Games Releases Trailer for Grand Theft Auto 6
Rockstar Games, the developer and publisher of the highly anticipated game Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6/GTA VI), has officially released its first trailer. The trailer reveals that GTA 6 will be launched in 2025, without specifying the consoles or platforms it will be available on. The leaked trailer was shared on social media before its scheduled release, prompting Rockstar to release it earlier.
The trailer introduces a female character named Lucia, who is shown entering a prison and appears to be the main protagonist. Throughout the trailer, Lucia is prominently featured. The video, accompanied by Tom Petty's song "Love is a Long Road," showcases a beach crowded with visitors, nighttime elevated roads, a nightclub atmosphere, and a building with a "Vice" signboard. This implies that the game will take place in Vice City, resembling the previous GTA game set in that location, but with a potentially larger map.
The next part of the video displays social media-like snippets in GTA 6, reminiscent of TikTok and Instagram Live, where characters share moments of partying and more. Additionally, there is a scene showing Lucia and a male character attempting to rob a store, aligning with rumors that players will be able to play as Lucia and a male character inspired by Bonnie and Clyde.
The trailer concludes with the first poster of Grand Theft Auto 6, revealing the release year as 2025. The platforms on which the game will be available are still unknown, but it is possible that it will be released for PC, PlayStation 5 (PS5), and Xbox Series X/S.
