BSSN Completes Initial Investigation on Alleged Data Leakage from KPU

The National Cyber and Encryption Agency (BSSN) has completed its initial investigation into the alleged leakage of Permanent Voter List (DPT) data belonging to the General Election Commission (KPU). The results of the preliminary investigation have been submitted to the Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim Polri) and the KPU. The investigation involved digital forensic analysis of the application and server to identify the root cause of the data leakage. The findings will serve as a basis for further legal action by Bareskrim Polri. BSSN also expressed its commitment to collaborate with the KPU and Bareskrim Polri in ensuring cyber security for the 2024 elections.
