Redmi recently introduced the Redmi Buds 5 Pro, its latest True Wireless Stereo earphones in China. These earphones offer several enhancements compared to the regular Redmi Buds 5 model released in September 2023. The Redmi Buds 5 Pro features an active noise cancelling (ANC) capability of 52 decibels (db), an improvement from the regular version's ANC of 46 db. This ANC feature reduces environmental noise, allowing users to enjoy clearer and more refined audio. The earphones also utilize Redmi's developed algorithms to enhance acoustic structure and audio quality. Additionally, artificial intelligence (AI) technology enables the earphones to adjust noise reduction levels based on the user's surroundings. The AI-powered settings include "Deep Noise Reduction" for high-noise environments like airports or train stations, "Balanced Noise Reduction" for moderately noisy environments such as streets, and "Mild Noise Reduction" for low-noise environments like offices or libraries. The Redmi Buds 5 Pro supports LHDC 5.0 codec for high-quality streaming audio, offers 360-degree spatial audio, and incorporates Bluetooth 5.3 with a low audio latency of 49 milliseconds. In terms of design, the Redmi Buds 5 Pro features a traditional in-ear design with stems and comes with a round-shaped charging case similar to the regular version. While the battery capacity of the Redmi Buds 5 Pro is not disclosed, each earbud can last up to 10 hours, and when combined with the charging case, provides a total of 38 hours of usage. Quick charging is supported, allowing two hours of music playback with just a five-minute charge. The Redmi Buds 5 Pro is IP54 certified for water and dust resistance and has Hi-Res Audio certification. It is available in Ice Porcelain Blue, Clear Snow White, and Obsidian Black colors. Additionally, Redmi launched the Redmi Buds 5 Pro Gaming Edition in black and orange colors, which offers a low latency of 20 milliseconds, crucial for competitive gaming, particularly in shooter games where audio cues are essential. The regular Redmi Buds 5 Pro is priced at 399 Yuan (approximately Rp 871,400), while the Gaming Edition costs 499 Yuan (around Rp 1 million). Pre-orders for the gaming edition have started, and the official sales will begin on December 5, 2023.
