iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro: Affordable Powerhouses Unveiled
Following the leaked rumors circulating on the internet, iQOO 12 and iQOO 12 Pro have been officially launched. These two smartphones come equipped with impressive specifications while remaining budget-friendly.
iQOO 12 and 12 Pro both feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen chip. They are powered by the in-house Q1 chip designed to enhance the mobile gaming experience. Additionally, they come with the VAPT adaptive mode, which can be activated with a single click to control power consumption and deliver a more stable frame rate experience. This feature incorporates a mid-frame made of flight-grade aluminum, a large 6K VC ultra-large vapor chamber, and 11 sensors to monitor real-time device temperature changes, ensuring efficient performance scheduling and excellent heat dissipation.
Both phones boast a 16MP selfie camera. On the rear, they feature a 50MP main camera with an OmniVision OV50H sensor measuring 1/1.3 inches. This camera is complemented by a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 64MP periscope camera capable of 3x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom, as well as macro telephoto capabilities.
Despite their similarities, iQOO 12 and 12 Pro differ in design, display, and battery.
iQOO 12: This model offers a flat screen, frame, and back cover. It sports a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution. It boasts a dynamic 144Hz refresh rate with a maximum brightness of 3,000 nits. A 5,000mAh battery is embedded, and iQOO supports 120W fast charging.
iQOO 12 Pro: The Pro variant comes with a 6.78-inch QHD+ display and a 144Hz refresh rate. The panel uses E7 LTPO AMOLED technology with 1.07 billion colors and a brightness level of up to 3,000 nits. It features the most powerful ultra-wide vibration motor and symmetrical dual three-dimensional speakers. The screen and back cover are curved, while the frame is thin. It also has a 5,100mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
Both iQOO 12 and 12 Pro are available in a Legend edition in white with a BMW logo and a Track edition in black, both featuring glass backs. There is also a Red edition with a leather-like finish on the back. These smartphones are set to be available in China starting from November 24, 2023. Here are their prices:
