Duracell's Latest Powerbanks: M150 and M250
Duracell, a renowned battery manufacturer, has introduced two new power banks - the Duracell M150 and M250. These power banks come in a unique design, differing from the typical power banks we often see. The Duracell M150 and M250 are designed to resemble Duracell's cylindrical batteries, featuring a brown and black color scheme, but they are significantly larger in size.
Both power banks are compact and come with four connectors, including two USB-C and two USB-A ports. The key difference lies in their capacity. The Duracell M250 has a massive capacity of 60,000mAh, while the Duracell M150 boasts a 25,000mAh capacity. With its larger capacity, the Duracell M250 is heavier, weighing 4.5 pounds, equivalent to about two kilograms, whereas the Duracell M150 weighs 1.8 pounds or approximately 800 grams.
As with any power bank, you charge your devices using a USB cable. The Duracell M150 and M250 also offer Qi wireless charging at the top, which resembles a circular lid. This lid, which also serves as the Qi wireless charging pad, has a magnetic ring, ensuring that the device being charged stays securely in place, provided the device is equipped with magnets. Additionally, there is a ring light on the lid that can be adjusted for brightness. This ring light can be activated by pressing a button on the device's side and can be used as an emergency light during power outages or for illumination in the dark.
Specifications of the Duracell M250:
- Dimensions: 127.4x236.4 mm
- Two USB-C connectors capable of delivering up to 100 watts and 60 watts of power.
- Two USB-A connectors with power outputs of up to 18 watts each.
According to Duracell's official website, the M250 can charge a laptop three times, a smartphone fifteen times, and a tablet eight times. These figures may vary depending on the battery capacity of the specific device. The M250 also offers storage space accessible by lifting the lid, allowing users to store items such as earbuds or cables.
When the power bank is depleted, it can be recharged by placing it on a 60-watt charging dock or connecting it to an AC adapter, which is directly plugged into a power outlet. Charging with the dock takes approximately 5.5-6 hours, while the AC adapter reduces the charging time to around 3 hours. The power bank's battery status can be determined by the five LED lights on its body; all five lit indicate that the Duracell M250 is fully charged.
Specifications of the Duracell M150:
- Dimensions: 81 x 163 mm
- Four ports with the same configuration and power output as the Duracell M250.
